Who is doing the work of putting together the NDP?
While the Parish Council has approved as the body to deliver a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) in Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury it is not the body who that will put the policy document together.
It is vital that besides Parish Councillors that as many people within the community as feasible take part in the process of making the NDP happen.
To this end we have formed a Neighbourhood Development Plan Steering Group to do the job. It is chaired by the present Parish Council Chairman Cllr. John Huxley while the Deputy Chairman is retired businessman Mike Holdsworth, both from Haworth.
Other Parish Councillors serving on the body are Haworth’s Peter Hill, a former District Councillor and Lord Mayor of Bradford and Stanbury-based businessman John Suckling. Providing us with community expertise are actor Ian Bleasdale and retired Police inspector Andy Longden, both Haworth residents.
Our administrator is Lisa Balderstone who is clerk to the Parish Council.
We really need some input from Cross Roads but, so far, nobody from the village has stepped up to the plate to ensure their views are heard……..come on Cross Roads you’re important to us and crucial to the success of the NDP!
